Use Your G.I. Bill® 

Did you know you can use your G.I. Bill® to pay for your scuba certifications and licenses? Choose from a wide selection of available programs.  Are you interested in learning to dive? Improve your dive skills? Become a dive professional? The G.I. Bill® can help get you there.  Through a series of programs, you can learn the basics of diving then progress through a guided path to become a professional diver.  We can help - "Take You as Deep as You Want to Go!" 

Who qualifies for the benefit?

This program is designed for veterans by veterans. SA Scuba Shack is an approved NAUI VA Testing Center for service members, retirees, or family member(s) with available G.I. Bill® benefits. Qualifying members will be reimbursed for their certifications and related fees.  For VA licensing and certification reimbursement program details click here.

One to six months of benefits may be applied toward becoming a NAUI Open Water Diver through becoming a NAUI Instructor or even in becoming a NAUI Course Director.  Choose your professional path - Divemaster, Diving Instructor, Instructor Trainer, or Course Director.

As veterans ourselves, we understand the commitment you have made for our country.  Now we are making a commitment to you, the Service Member:

• Contact us and learn more about those courses
• Enroll in a VA Approved program

Check the G.I. Bill® eligibility requirements and find out if you qualify.  VA education benefits can help you pick a school, choose a path, and pay for your tuition.  Benefits are generally available for Active-Duty Service Members, Veterans, National Guard, Reserves, or a qualified survivor or dependent.

Step 1:

 Apply for your G.I. Bill® benefits.

• To apply for the G.I. Bill® and related benefits click the following link and follow their instructions: https://www.va.gov/education/how-to-apply/
• Print and save a copy of your VA Statement of Benefits
  • Submit a copy of those benefits by delivering directly to our dive shop, or email it to us at info@sascubashack.com

Step 2:

Register with SA Scuba Shack for your approved selected program by:

• stopping by our store and register in person OR,
• register online at : G.I. Bill Courses (sascubashack.com)

Step 3:

Upon completion of all exams. SA Scuba Shack will give you three documents and a presentation so you can submit for VA reimbursement. (all reimbursements from the VA are on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Typical reimbursements may take 1-3 weeks to process for reimbursement to you).
